This demo shows how to use a focus.point.lat and focus.point.lon bias
when performing an autocomplete search.
Results will be biased toward the focus point, but still return matches on the full index.
focus.point.lat
and
focus.point.lon
define a latitude and longitude coordinate. Pelias uses this point to calculate proximity and apply a
"boost" to nearby results, making them appear higher in the search ranking.
This helps resolve ambiguities in feature names. For example, searching for
“McDonalds” without a focus point may return a geographically broad list of locations. If the focus point is
set in Rio de Janeiro, McDonalds locations in Rio will be prioritized at the top of the results.
